The Verification Oversight Organization (VOO) is responsible for overseeing the quality and integrity of the verification process. We accomplish this by conducting a rigorous Verifier selection process and performing Quality Assurance (QA) activities.
The VOO manages the Verifier Body (VB) and the Verifier selection process, pre-selecting candidate Verifiers according to specific criteria, and providing training and exams to assess their skills and experience. The VOO also scores VB and Verifier performance using various sources of data, such as:
- Verifier exam scores
- Desktop Review outcomes
- Counter Verification outcomes
- Shadow Verification outcomes
- Facility feedback
- Brand/report user feedback
- Disputes
Each Verifier is given a score, and VB scoring is an accumulation of individual Verifier Scores. VB quality data such as complaints received may also be included. The overall VB score and individual Verifier scores are shared with each VB separately through a private VB dashboard. Aggregated information on VB scores and other QA performance indicators are available publicly through the Quality Assurance Dashboard.
To assess quality after verification, the VOO performs a mix of Quality Assurance activities, such as desktop reviews, shadow/counter/duplicate verifications, and VB management checks. These outcomes feed into VB and Verifier scoring and can result in the invalidation of a report and/or suspension of a VB/Verifier in the worst-case scenario. QA activities provide valuable insights into SLCP system user behavior, the application of the SLCP Converged Assessment Framework (CAF), and the workings of the Gateway and Accredited Host platforms. QA learnings result in ongoing system and process improvements. More information on QA activities is available in the Quality Assurance Manual.
